Meg & Frank | Rochester NY Wedding Photographers| Casa Larga Weddings

Talk about laid back, you don't get much more laid back then Meg & Frank. 

They just enjoy each other. 

They had a beautiful winter wedding at Casa Larga .

On a snowy evening they had one guitar player and lots of candles. 

It was very romantic. 

There were lots of tears!

Meg bought her Maggie Sottero Dress at Blushing Bride in Brockport. 

(can I say I loved it, so much we did a bridal session, which will be soon to follow on this blog!)

Don't forget winter brides, it gets dark fast! 

We did most of our photos inside the 

store at Casa Larga because it was totally night after the ceremony. 

It was fun to be able to do some unique photos in there!

Below include a couple shots from my 2nd photographer on this day (D'marie Photography). 

We always try hard to get a great venue shot (that was Denyse's) and awesome portraits of both the bridal party and the grooms men (my 2nd photographer almost always is assigned the groom and his gang). You choose your venue for a reason! I want to be sure it is captured. 

Another note, Meg made it clear to her venue she wanted a private table for her vendors to sit at in the reception room. It was a really special touch. We felt very welcome. The food is excellent at Casa Larga! Nothing we would want to miss! (and it keeps us in the room so we don't miss any moments!!) Thank you for that Meg & Frank!

I edited Meg's full wedding with an antique touch. I don't always do it. But I thought it would put a nice little finish and go well with her colors...

Weddings, portraits, tips for photographers, items for sale...everything I think and all on a whim?

(and of course my ridiculous grammer and horrendous spelling, but okay photos?)

Jen and Colin are from California.

They are gorgeous together and each on their own.

Their wedding was so very laid back, I would totally be trying to be friends with them if they lived here.

 I rarely show even close to a whole wedding. This is the closest to a full wedding I have shown!

(Also still working on a video slideshow with actual good quality!!)

Children's Photography Contest | Rochester, NY Photography

These photos may freak out many of my photographer friends (Yes I let my 3 year old hold my 5D and totally touch the lens, and even throw it around a little....and then I grabbed it right away! and switched him for a point and shoot ~his camera). 

But every kid loves a way to get creative...and it is sooooo fun to see what them come up with. Claire (my daughter) has been taking photos since she was itty bitty. I have lots of them. Most are of my stomach, barbies and her nose, but they are perfection.

As eieio grows, I like to find ways to really do something in my community. I think encouraging kids to get into something they love is so important! I want to have a local star corner in my studio where all different kids get to show off! You never know, maybe we will find the next big photography star?!?

Professional Head Shots | Rochester NY Photographer

Not every professional needs them, but if you are going somewhere or want to in your career, you really SHOULD have them! 

They shouldn't just be head and shoulders looking at the camera either!

 One HUGE lesson I have learned is that in the business world, you are never really selling a product or a service. 

You are sharing yourself.

Introducing people to your personality.

 Headshots are something that should show it off! 

Before I had my own studio I didn't have the time or place to really do headshots well!

 Now I do! YEAH!!
